I just picked this up for £300 notes!

R Plate Mk3 Cabriolet. Electric everything just no tax or mot as its been parked up for a year. Got it home earlier and i reckon it'll fly through a mot! I'm in shock how tidy it is..

Time to dub her up for summer me thiinks..

I dunno. Slammed on some banded steels, with a bit of smoothing, and keep the roof down, could look pretty sweet for summer cruising, and for not much dollars.

The one that i posted used to have Schmidt Modern Lines 16x9's on it, which looked fierce. But he got bored of the 'euro' look so went down a different route. It's a good way to go.

You're ex's cabby sounds gud though

VR is boring but then cabs arent the best handling cars..haha! I just like the noise of a VR and easy enough for me to do. I have 100% decided this is staying with me. Why not? Its cheap. I've started on the bodywork already so i want the outside done for summer. Its going to be simple, slammed on wheels and as tidy as i can get it with vento front. Then it'll be the interior and engine/running gear from a VR. Plus my mates donated me a Mk4 GTi interior already! haha!

They can look smart imo. I was looking to get another MK1 clio but its dead money where as this isnt when it cost me £300 notes.

We had a mk2 cab in at work years ago, had a hamman or karmann badge on the qaurter, was very clean.

My mate has a MK1 cab fully restored, MK1, Mk2, MK4 and a Transporter S line. He's my main drive for this. He's loving it! Getting it into my mates body shop later to start on the bodywork too.

All good fun. Got a set of standard Golf/Bora BBS's on route for £40! lol! Just got to restore them like this -

Theyre only two piece though. Gotta work out the colour scheme.

They are in 4 stud. I've got 5 studs coming from a golf/Bora. Theyre only to be semi temparary anyway. I'm spending money elsewhere before i spend ££££'s on wheels.

Its gunna be marmite but i may go for a red face of the rim, polished lip and black insides. Will look good with a very healthy drop imo. Plus white and red a VW colours.

I am in love.......they are beautiful.

They dont look like standard ones.....? Are they not the anniversary edition Mk4 golf's ones or something? Also, what is the hub fitment 4x100 ET.....? Most I have seen are 5 stud :dapprove:

What I am trying to say is will they fit a Clio and would it be wrong to? :S I may just buy some to put on the wall in my living room lol.....

Loving the sound of red/white, but have a think about white face, red insides and polished rim......less 'in yo face', but would look awesome! Red face would look good though...

It is just a old golf. Tbh i'm not going to spend much more than i'll get back for it.

Car - £300
VR Donor - £400 (Sell the bits i dont need)
Minimal bodywork - Pretty much free

Then coilovers and wheels which i can always take off. Wheels were only £40 though and as for coilovers i'll just go second hand.

VR cabs sell for around 2k in poor condition.
