My Monaco Blue 172

After selling my 106 GTI, i wasn't sure what i should get, i looked around for ages and came across this site and fell for the 182, but since i was on a tight buget i went for a 172, i looked at loads and ended up buying one from some one on this site, i had a 500mile round trip to pick it up, was well worth it, its the best car i've had so far, i have in mind a few mods just to make it better, enjoy.

The 106 GTI i sold,

The 172 in monaco blue i bought it the pug's place,

it needed a service and cambelt so got that sorted stright away,

Nice gti, would rather the 172, what you need is a cup spoiler, cup splitter, turini alloys & drop it 30mm & will have a more agressive stance like your gti

UPDATE,

There has been some waiting, but after what felt like a life time my carbon fiber splitter turned up and i managed to get hold of a cheap mk3 sport badge and some rather nice new number plates,

there not very good photo's but once i get it realy cleaned up i'll put some better ones up.

Its alot nicer that the GTI, faster, easyer to drive the works, a much better upgrated to the pug. just like the colour of the pug.

.......SMALL UPDATE......

I have been looking around for ages for a set of 172cup turini's, but they've all been over priced, but at last I managed to get hold of a set, they were in need of a refurb and after reading sophance post in the traders area, I got a qoute and drop the off on friday, I'll be picking them up on mon or tue so will report back once I get them, hear they are "before", once i get them I'll post afew pictures up of them "after" and holpfully see the difference??

It's not a very good photo, just on my driveway, they are 195/40 toyo T1R's, I'd just put them on so it'll settle abit, but your right it need abit of a drop.

I dont know anything about tyres, what difference would it make have 205's? is it ok for the time being have 195's?

Don't worry at all! Hundreds of 172's running on 195's! When you need to change, 205's will give a bit more grip and protect the wheel rim a bit better.

Chears, will it make any difference if lowered on 205's? what does 205 stand for? is it with width of the tyre?

the clio is coming along nicely

my next mods on mine are 1 of those splitters and a nice set of cup/182 wheels i think
