my new 172 cup

Had this beauty for around a month now and can't fault it, looked long and hard for a good example, and had my eye on this for a while, i knew i would have it, one way or another, some of you may recognise her off here, bought off a club member, (who deserves all the credit for the condition the car is in today ) sure he'll be along soon enough, probably thought i'd wrapped it round a lamp post as i've not put any pics up yet lol

any way here she is, hope you like, gave it a quick wash today, was hoping to polish it, but as usual, i was struggling for time

unfortunatly, i am sh*t with a camera, and i also have a sh*t camera, next time i'll have a look in the photography section

Bilstein B14 coilovers mate, ( thats why i wanted this car lol ) i drive on crappy b roads to work, and its fine tbh, even hitting pot holes, doesn't really throw it off track, i've not pushed the car at all yet, needs new tyres 1st, if i'm honest i'd like to drop it a touch more, i like it stiff , but it doesn't bother me one bit as it is, its comfortable, i'm used to a lot worse, used to have a clio valver very low, that was worse and just has an mr2 turbo on coilovers which was almost impossible on these roads.

thanks for the comments folks, like i said is gaz, ( gaz-kev ) who deserves all the credit for it, he's done a brilliant job on getting mint, and what a good lad he is, was a pleasure doing business with him nice to see the car your hoping for at the end of the journey lol

Happy days mate, glad your happy with it! Think you can whip out the rear adjuster rings on the back as when i had it they were as low as you could go.......... taking these adjusters out should give another 10mm or so. Speak to Bloor, think he runs the same set up(but lower lol). Do miss the sheer grunt of the Cup tbh, the 197 doesnt feel as lairy really

happy as larry with it, i'm in no rush to lower it any more, will be in the new year ( if i do ) i'd like to do a few track days, and reckon it would be better suited a touch lower, i'll get in touch with the chap you mentioned nearer the time, just enjoying it for what it is at the minute

small update on the cup, s**te pics apologies! 3/4 plate fitted, the cup splitter went the same way they all do! so a skoda item landed today, would have liked another cup one, but i ain't paying that money for it to get smashed to pieces again, added a toe eye for the haters lol, might remove this yet, had a whiteline arb fitted and thats about it, just been enjoying it.

oh almost forgot, sold the turini's, bought some 15" oz f1's which will be going on, in the near future, but not until i scrub the tyres clean on these r19 turbines, they are then getting my dunlop track tyres fitted to them and getting sprayed up.
