i turn 17 in a few weeks and i managed to get a mk1 clio
here are the specs

not bad for a 1st car

no not bad bet your insurance will be high with those mods, hope your going to declare them all??
id take the lexus lights off tho.
how much did that cost you? mileage? colour?

mileage is around 90k but its had an engine rebuild and its black. i think ill put myself as a named driver with my parents that way its around £800- not to bad

only downside to being insured under your parents policy as a named driver is you dont get any no claims bonus, worth going on your own policy from the start

£800 as if!! try CIS ( www.cis.co.uk ) should be between £400-500, not sure about the mods but if its on the rents insurance wont put it up too much from that price.

seriously try as hard as you can to get the insurance in your own name. you will sooo regret it when your older/want a bigger engined car. you'll end up shooting yourself in the foot so to speak....

I got a 1.4RT as my first car (still got it). Insurance under my own name would have been about £1700 which I just could afford so I have been under my mums name on insurance but that will be changing in december (license for a yeat) as I can get insured for about £700 under my own name. Under my mums name it is about £700 - £800 at the moment but she doesn't have any NCD.
