My new clio 172 cup

Picked up my New clio 172 cup yesterday after a 500 miles round trip to leeds and back. The women i got it off owned it from being 1 and a half years old its got a FSH 55k got to say im really imporessed with it and it drives like a brand new car just shame botu the filter and strut brace which she said was on it when she brought the car.. I got it cheap so bits that need doing i have money to do like get the wheels powder coated anthracite as there f**ked needs 4 new tyres soon and new rear disc and pads still useable but not for long and a new carpet as it has a nice whole in it women with there bloody high heels.. The car was rather minging when i picked it up and hadnt been used for i reckon 3 months or so but after a good clean and polish and good scrub up inside today she come up amazing only problem is some little f**king b*****d last night at my missus house keyed the f**king door and bonnet already didnt even own it 24 hours the bonnet electric polished out but door wont budge so got to get that redone now well pissed off guess someone got a tad jelous.

These are the 1st mods i done to it today.

Clear side repeaters,
Raindow indicator bulbs,
Carbon front badge which i must say is an amazing job,
Diddy c2 aerial,
Put my justmats 172 cup mats in,
Cliosport side window stickers and rear window sticker (not pictured)
My alpine cd player.

And heres the damage its been electric polished out the most it has.

Plans for the car are:

Wheels powder coated anthracite,
carbon renault badges on wheels,
New tyres,
Fit standard airbox with ITG panel filter,
Get a 182 engine cover sprayed colour of car,
Coilovers,
Yozza exhaust.

Looks like a nice motor that mate, engine bay needs a tidy up though. How much did you pay for it? or would you rather not say?

I feel your pain about it being keyed because mine got keyed a few weeks ago, jealous scummy wasters!

I know mate well annoyed had the car like 12hours i think and it got keyed. and i payed £3200 and yea going to tidy the engine up alot more than that going to sell filter etc

You cant see it in the pictures but next to where the centre console is there a 8 inch whole in the carpet and looks really s**t so want a mint one tidy it up abit.

I would mate but witht he money left im buying things to sort it out as there is a few little bits and bobs. Will when was the next meet again as im going to come along aint been for awhile and need to get to know people again lol but thanks for the comments so far.

UPDATE: Wheels are going to get powder coated tomorow in a gunmetal grey and having 4 new goodyear eagle f1 tyres fitted once the wheels have been done. Dad just got a bargain deal on new disc and pads all round including the rear wheel bearings as he works at a garage for £100 so all that will be done aswell. Post up pics when done.

They qouted me for gunmetal grey £200 thats all wheels done and the curb marks DA away including a spray can matched to the colour so i can get centre caps done.

UPDATE: Well still stuck without a car i dropped the wheels to them tuesday morning and they said would have them ready for me thursday night. Rang them a second ago and they have only started them today, so they said monday tuesday now grrrrr. But in mean time iv had all the new disc and pads fitted new rear wheel bearings, calipers painted yellow found out i got Goodrich braided brake hoses all round. Fitted the standard airbox with itg panel filter will get some pics over the weekend of the progress.

UPDATE: Dad went and collected my wheels today and they were the worst job i have ever seen in my life that bad i was straight onto the phone to them complaining. But lucky enough The wheel specialist has just opened a new shop in Swindon and was in contact with my bro just before i seen my wheels asking if they wud chuck work each way to get business. So i took the wheels straight to them and they was disgusted at the wheels and are doing a report on them and redoing them properly for me And will get them back thursday. So at the mo im payin £400 for my wheels to get done but the wheels specialist is doing a letter to them asking for a refund as they was so bad. fingers crossed all works out well now. Pic of wheels to follow.

What did you paint your calipers with? and dont say yellow paint

the bosch wipers are crap. shocking fit, dont sit flush against the screen and anything above 85 and they shake and rattle all over the place!

Haha I used Hammerite heat Yellow paint had to use like 3 coats though for it to be a nice finish.

UPDATE: Got my wheels back from the Wheel specialist they were done in a Charcoal anthracite. Still waiting on the centre caps to come back. I finally got my logbook back so sorted the personlised reg out and have now got my plates on. I got a 520mmx90mm front plate from Fancyplates makes the front look alot better i think.

I gave her a quick clean today and got some snaps of the car she starting to look alot better now .
