My New Daily 172

My Original plan was to get a 172 cup, however after viewing a couple in my local area which were complete dogs I found a clean and standard ph2 172 not far from me for sale.

There's a few common issues to sort, but I'm enjoying my latest purchase:

No plans for mods at the moment, just give it a full service initially.

Might get some cup / trophy speedlines in the future and a set of eibachs.

I had a cpc464 back in the day but that was all. I did buy a game gear too but it broke within a week.
I was a BMx/mountain biker. Hated sitting indoors!

Micra although I've heard that before.

It's a daihatsu avanzato r4, r4 meaning its 4x4. engine's just under 660cc and turbo'd as standard.

I haven't made any engine mods yet, however I've just had GAZ coilovers and the comps made for it as its quite a rare car.

Only pic I have at the minute of the engine, excuse the red wiring / pipe its all been replaced with black and the dump valve's gone too.

I tried searching daihatsu turbo but it came up with the round headlight ones

64 mighty horses, but only 3/4 of a ton, 0-60 8.5(ish), top speed 98mph.

They didn't change a lot when they were rallied and they were pretty quick. I'll be upgrading to a larger intercooler and removing the cat, then removing weight as thats the best / cheapest mod!

never seen one on a rally stage so cant comment lol. btw keep the parts in your loft , no use having a rare car if you dont have a complete one
