It's got a stone chip on the roof with a 3-4mm circle of laquer peel. I think I'm going to have the roof painted tbh.

Disconnected the main interior light and the fuse hasn't popped since. I'll get to TPS at some point and replace the light and see where it goes from there.

How weird!!! Did you text my old boy? No rage txt's allowed, it's his birthday today! Lol

Started picking up some OEM+ parts:

Tailored mats and matching boot mat from a group buy on R32OC:

The car's booked into gally on the 16th of Feb for a correction detail, also.

Those mats make a difference Gaz, my boss had similar in his DP one, finished it off well.

Hopefully I can get the wheels done before you get the car, Kev. I'm looking for a set of wheels that I can throw on it, while the other wheels are being refurbed.

That's always the hassle mate. You got anyone in mind to do them? Always a hard thing to find these days!

I can get them painted easily enough. Torn between painting and powder coating, though.

Does your mob not do refurbs Gally?

We do mate. Multispokes are always a nightmare, we hand rub and hand paint all our stuff, very labour intensive.

Hand finished is still the best finish but powder-coating it cheaper and more robust. The finish can be quite coarse though, just depends on who does it and how fussy you are. The wheel specialist at the Gyle (guy called Colin) does a cracking finish as he powder coats and hand lacquers for a better finish. Powder-coating alone isn't a good enough finish imo.

Agreed. I wasnt overly happy with my powder coated wheels on my gti. Painted all the way. That Midlands Car Care do a drive in drive out same day service and going by the photos the quality is top notch....i dont however know where you are in relation to them.

Money no object (they're not that expensive) Lepsons would be the only place doing my wheels.

I had my turinis done with body panels by gallys place. Stunning job, can't recommend them enough. She's a cracker gaz. I'll keep an eye out for you
