My Petrol blue 182

[HAP]

Here is my petrol blue 182. Its had loads of work done since I've bought it last month (nothing major). I found it on eBay and went to see it near Cambridge where it stood for a year and was full of mold and leaves on the body. The paint was a dull dark blue with no pearlescent whatsoever, the car had no big dents only small stone marks, the interior was mint with no signs of age or use but all the plastic's were covered in a thick vape-like substance.

We drove it home all the way back to Wales with no issues and started to give it a deep clean the next day. After loads of polishing and waxing and getting all the stuff off the dash it looked like brand new, I later found out that the car used to be on this forum and was owned by a guy called TigerPig that put a lot of money into rebuilding the engine and putting more modifications on it to bring it up to 192 bhp.

The car is immaculate now with no mechanical issues at all, Im hoping to bring it to some renault/french meets in the future. Hope you all like it

They're incredibly rare, expensive option paint that's very marmite. Personally I think they look incredible.....but I prefer my RB as I just think it suits the car better. But that paint, such a good colour

I was originally looking for a RB but I couldn't let the chance of having a Petrol blue one go. The colour was a £1150 option if I remember correctly!

Did you get it for a good price given it had just been stood and paint was in poor condition?

Thanks, It was sold for £3600 quite pricey for a 182 but it had a full engine rebuild and catcams so I think I got it for a steal, I have just had the turinis refurbished in silver along with new silver centercaps

Thanks, it's difficult to take a picture with the sun on it especially in Wales where it's never sunny haha.

Thanks mate! It's 1/19 left so it's probably the rarest 182 colour there is, it's getting polished tomorrow to try and get the plastic parts to match the body colour correctly.

Ow only just seen this and realized I haven't responded to your last message, apologies! I'm all the way up in North Wales so if you're ever up here we'll get some pics with both Petrol Blues!

Looks really good, scrubbed up well and great choice to get those wheels done in silver, harder to keep clean but just looks fresh!
I'd get them coated in Gyeon Rim or Gtechniq C5 before putting them in the car, they'll never be this clean again

Thanks, I live in North Wales near Caernarfon so i'd be more than happy to come and take some pictures of both of them together. I got my wheels done in silver a few weeks ago and they look 100 times better than the old dull grey colour they had on.

Only few I can find and photobucket has messed them up! Mine had the cup spoiler pack but not the suspension pack weirdly. It was my first renaultsport Clio and I’d have it back in a heartbeat!
