came this morning saturday delivery, was pleasently suprised it has its own little bag all nice presentation and i wont start with how good it smells almost competes with meguiars hot stuff tyre gel!

Sod the bag and smell ( though it is nice, garage smells like a tarts Boudoir after use) wait till you see it on the paint.

Make sure you do, a decent wax will still look pants if you don't get the paint polished well to begin with.

Don't have the Onyx myself but think I will get some once my 50/50 runs out. They should make half sized pots for half the price - otherwise you just end up with loads. I have so many half used bottles of potions and lotions its not funny!

Did you get the Cleaner Fluid with it ?

nahh i have like meguiars gold class and the autoglym shampoo, loads of polishes, AG EGP, megs NXT, well around 3 carrier bags full of stuff the car will be clean before it goes on

Worth getting the specific cleaner fluid to go before the wax after polishing IMO. I applied mine after a sealant before but it looks lots better applied after the Swissvax Cleaner Fluid which is the route I have taken this time.

so it will give a better result? and i'll put an order through for some, im not aiming for a concours car i just want it to look clean and the black to look dark as i hate it when the sunds bouncing straight at it and it looks grey (pearlescent i know)

Has left a nicer finish to mine this time round using the Onyx straight after it - should also mean the wax bonds properly to it which should help durability.

That said the Onyx is not super durable so if you do need durability worth getting some EGP under it.

im giving it 6 coats of egp i did my carbon cover earlier so i know how it goes on

LOL @ 6 coats of EGP - fair play very keen, not sure you will notice much difference after the 2nd or 3rd.

i have a whole week off just to make sure my car is ready to do the 3 hour drive and look good at fcs, im having that adrian flux interview so i wanna try and do my best for everyone, whats the best way to clean - travel - and pre show clean ( spelling errors is coause ive been drinking)

I would probably dedicate the time to other aspects of the car cleanliness, I used to make the mistake of dedicating all the time to the paint in my concours days and losing points in other areas. 3 coats of EGP and a couple of coats or the Onyx will be ideal.

All depends on how dirty the car gets on the way down, you may get awy with a Quick Detail and wash the arches and wheels, other wise a whole wash and quick detail will need to be done. I would leave the dressing of any trim, tyres etc until you at the show ground.

right so maybe 3 coats of egp 3 coats of onyx that will do, its mainly a areas with swirl marks and scratches ugh there's so mich to do, just put the front inner arches in today one of thems cracked but meh itll be alright
