My temp sensor is crazy!

When the clio actually worked, when I would put my foot on the gas the temp gauge would sit at a constant max, then if you left off or go up a slight hill it would drop back down to normal level!

(car was not overheating btw)

Also has OMEX 600.

Could just be a temp sensor for the coolant?

Sounds like an earth fault, like the sensor is mashed into the TPS wiring, lol.

i was already thinking i may be wrong because of your Omex... But i would also think the Omex also runs with the reading of all sensors , kind of copied from the OEM ecu ?

with Omex the std sensor is only used for the gauge. the stock wiring is left untouched

Mine has just started going nuts too. On warm up it will go up to norm operating temp then wil start dancing around in between cold and normal. It did it last year but fixed itself. I was thinking an earth prob. Is there a common earth prob for the sensor? or do u rekon its the sensor itself?
