my website design using CSS

have been learning CSS for 4 days, took me 3 to do this from the pure html that is given here:

did it all by trial and error pretty much, and learnt loads from it! its not actually complete yet, and none of the links work

That looks really good, mate. bloody good for 4 days worth of learning...!! it doesn't look like a home made site, as mine always do lol.
i'm just looking into CSS myself.. not got that far yet.

I've used a slight bit of CSS in a (very simple) site www.the405lines.co.uk

Very good Almost there. Don't understand why all your text is in spans though? All the paragraphs seem to be the same too, so unsure why you've given them all seperate classes. If it's the spacing issue, you could just add the padding to the bottom of each paragraph. IE: p{padding-bottom:20px;}. Would cut down on even more of the filesize

nightfire, the HTML is given to you, you cant touch it like. whole idea is just the design of the page around the given html! i think they have given most of them seperate classes for the ability to go mad with the design if you want, rather than it all read as one big page of info if u get me!
