My Yozza has lost its rasp

  200 FF Storm Grey
Did a long drive to weymouth on wednesday, once I got there I realised by beloved rasp had gone.

We spent a few days together, they were good days, let us not forget x

But there's a point to this sadening thread... I'm just querying whether this is normal? Suspect it is due to carbon build up but just wanted to check as it sounds rather average now

Probably not so much carbon build up but when stainless exhausts are heated up after long motorway periods they tend to boom more than usual.

Will decat give me my much needed rasp back?

It's nothing to do with the exhuast being hot mate, as it used to still do it, think it's the way the air goes through a dirty exhaust

I reckon a decat will add a little rasp to your car. It will add a fair bit more general noise too though beware of that.

Is it a 182? cos decats are annoying to fit unless you've got a 182 manifold.

Yeh it's a 182 mate, is a shame how the sound changes as it sounded so perfect for the car when it was first on

Its obvious then isnt it.... U need throttle bodies so when on overrun you have massive flames and it will burn all that build up in the exhaust and clear it out.
There u go, just the job :)

I think mate you should take it off and buy a new one, then when I come to pick the alloys up I can have the exhaust aswell! LOL! :rasp:
