So am I :tongueclosed:Looking forward to seeing this progressing!
Hello mate I don't suppose I could pester you for the Ph1 interior wiring diagrams please?
Thanks
ahh I see, I must if seen a post about someone asking you for similar info. Not to worry.Unfortunately buddy it isn't straight forward as I'm sure you think it is, they are not PDFs. I have a genuine Renault wiring diagrams book, there are multiple drawings for all the different circuits so time consuming to find the right one. Then I have to scan it etc and unfortunately the only place I can do that is work who wouldn't take kindly to it.
What info are you after exactly?
PM me the information you're after for what you're trying to removeahh I see, I must if seen a post about someone asking you for similar info. Not to worry.
Well I'm just in the process of chopping my interior loom down a bit more, the first time I got lucky, so want to do it a bit more carefully this time
Top work matey
Love it!
Just read through all of this, properly top work
Get some ph1 wings, slam panel and lights and make a racing blue ph1.5
Thanks buddy
Cheers matey, just not moving as fast as I would like!! But that's due to money and my time to do stuff
With regards to putting a ph1 front end on a ph2, its been done as has a RB ph1
Top work on the garage too!
All I hear is excuses. LolCheers Buddy, the garage is nearly finished. But need more time to get things done
No one asked you anyway :tongueout:All I hear is excuses. Lol
Cuts deep. LolNo one asked you anyway :tongueout:
Have you released the tensioner pulley? If not its in the wrong position mate.Well I got the wee man to bed early so thought I'd have an hour in the sunflower. Having had the engine out a few days I've been musing over what bits I want to keep from the sunflower that I could need to put in the RB.
So I started by removing the pedal box as I'm transferring the ph1 loom albeit trimmed down so no fly by wire here!!

Next up was to remove the rear beam, I might use the mounts that bolt to the shell. If nothing else it'll lighten the shell so we can hand ball it out of the garage onto the trailer for scrapping, unless someone wants it!!

I couldn't resist while I was in the garage taking a couple of covers off the engine so I could look at the cambelt condition. Those with a good memory will remember from the start of my thread that the aux belt was extremely poor condition and was ready to fail. The cambelt doesn't look too bad, no matter as its getting changed along with lots of other parts treating this engine like it should have always been

I also got some more parts today to give the engine some new life

Plus I got this little beauty before Christmas which is a welcome addition

Thanks for reading :grinning:
Unfortunately I have not, I presume this was done when it had a cambelt change at some point in its life. Could this be a sign of potential problems?Have you released the tensioner pulley? If not its in the wrong position mate.
Nah. Only a sign that the cam timing is 99.9% incorrect.Unfortunately I have not, I presume this was done when it had a cambelt change at some point in its life. Could this be a sign of potential problems?
Crank thread pitch is m9x1 mate and the marks in the cylinder head are cnc marks. They all have them mate, so no dodgy diy porting done there.Well today started with taking the little dude for his first skiing lesson (can't wait until he's old enough to snowboard!!)

So back onto the car, I tarted up the hubs that I had roll centre modified by @NorthloopCup Then I carried on with stripping bits off the engine, so I removed the rusty clutch and flywheel. Which latterly I realised wasn't the best idea as I need the flywheel in place so I can lock the crank out to remove the crank pulley. Out of interest does anyone one know the thread size for the flywheel bolts as I will get a tap to clean the threads out. It's a fine thread probably M8x1, when I'm not being lazy I'll get my thread gauge out!!

I then removed the top and bottom inlet manifold, quite a bit of oil evident in everything!! All needs a good clean up and paint.

Once I had taken off the inlet manifold off it gave me chance to look at the inlet ports on the head. Is it supposed to look like this or has it had some dodgy diy porting done?? It's all ridged, best way I can describe it is it looks like contours on a map. Well looks like something Ill have to get sorted out while I'm doing!!

Well off out for tea, might see if I can do a bit more later
Flaming predictive text :rage:Thermocouple?! Thermostat surely?! Lol
Oh ok, whys that? I have a megane crank cambelt sprocket to replace the existing one with the red dots on. Hopefully be fitting ttv pulleys which would replace the formentioned pulley wouldn't it?Keep the original crank pulley mate, as in don't scrap it.

At times I feel like you're the only one that reads my threadCan't wait to get these fitted!!
