UPDATE
Meh i was bored so thought i would do a little update bring things up to speed

the lpg tank

just a pic to show you the tank sat in the spare wheel well, looks tidy imo

then i got sick of spare wheel rolling around so decided to bolt it to plate on top of the tank

15" steelie with full clio tool kit sat inside, i actually have a set of jump leads in the inside of the wheel aswell now, never know when...

rear bumper really wasnt contemplateing sport styling so as said it had to go

60 english pounds set me up with a 172 rear bumper in need of a respray but came with everything. HAPPY

then came the interesting bit, it now looked like a sport but didnt sound like one, i made my own decat (straight bit of pipe) this made it a bit raspier and let it rev a bit more freely but still sounded "standard" :dapprove:

so off i toddled off to newcastle, a day spent with the barron bro's and i come away 320 pounds lighter and with this monster

it was only missing one thing on the exterior now

i found a mint deal that just had to be had

off i set with cash and grumpy gf un happy cos im spending money on car and not her, to see infernowen

and heres a photoshop with them fitted, yeah i lowered it on photoshop

lately i have just been messing about winter proofing things, greasing brake pipes, hammerite'in drums and calipers, hammered grey on calipers and satin black on drums, anti roll bar, subframe, wish bones and drive shafts etc still to hammerite

also want door handles colour coding, simplest thing i have just never done it :S

ohh and gotta lower it a bit more

boots got false floor atm also hiding spare, amp and hifi speaker setup. no pics of that as yet.

i got rid of the cup 1.2 stickers
its a custom exhaust stainless 3.5inch slash cut inward rolled - loud as ya like
and i did the tints my self on the rear windows, havent done hatch as its a pig to do and also like to see out of rear

not sure about the 1/4 fitting but cars looks great mate.
and if you sell it with the parts on someone would snap it up no probs.
or strip it when you come to sell it make a few more bob off it.
i would have thought the mpg wouldnt be bad so no need for lpg.

Micleton services (where he works) is a specialist in LPG conversions so he might aswell and it cost him peanuts to get any where

UPDATE FOR 2009

right its getting close to the time when insurance will allow me to have a larger engined car. i had a bit of a look about, and although i can pick up something bigger engined it was proving hard to find what i wanted, which was a faster naughty blue with no sunroof...

heres the list of mods that are in the process, in the post or have happened already.

172 ph2 ff leather interior fitted
1.6 engine on its way apparently
link plus standalone ecu to control new engine sat next to me on my desk
cup spoiler also sat next to me ready to be painted
oz superturismo wheels BARGIN sat on floor, freshly powdercoated

pics of engine mods and other progress to come
but heres a pic of the wheels for now


as i got them in desperate need of refirb

rear spacers may need to come off

now i have them back from powder coating ready to be fitted when snows gone

will look tasty i think

i made the decat when i had the standard exhaust on and it wasnt any louder on tick over but slightly raspy when rev'd now its just mental

my 1.2 8v decat might be for sale soon rig'd to the max like

25mm and they go behind rear drums as to not create excessive wear on rear wheel bearings

with extended steering rack high tensile bolts

Also... my insurance will be £945 on a 2.0 Clio Sport with 2 years ncb and 2 years driving experience with no convictions (including no sp30s).

its dual fuel offially, starts on petrol then when engine gets to 36 degree's which is rather soon it automatically switches to lpg

its a specailist job, i fit them for a living 1300 plus vat

10k miles you will have paid for the kit
more power on gas if mapped by myself, rr readouts to prove

running on lpg has so far saved me enough to pay for conversion and buying the car, so pricewise it stands me at mods woop

had to remove my custom 25mm spacer from behind the rear stub axel

i personally think it still needs to be lower
but coilover money spent on 32" pc/xbox screen
