Navigation question

Can anyone tell me if it would be possible to hook up a navigation unit to a screen made by a different manufacturer.

e.g. a pioneer screen with an alpine navigation unit. Obviously you wouldnt be able to use any advnaced features like touch screen but if you could link it up using a normal RGB video input that most screens havewould it work?

dont think you can unless like u said the navigation unit has a RGB output and the screen has a RGB input (most screens have this)...it may be possible to get a adaptor from the navigation units manufacturer to convert the manufacturers plug into a normal RGB output?

ok from reading the stuff about navigation units on ebay it all says rgb output so i just assumed this was three rca plugs etc etc with all the input done by the remote control.?! hmmm

A lot of time this is the case, but some alpine units use the Ai-NET IIRC
