Not mine but was offered this for a px with the mini today guys in Maidstone said he wants around £10k for it

Welcome to the add of this 1990 daimler xj40.
It’s 4.0l engine automatic gearbox with factory LSD
Valid MOT until 1st of March 2022
Current mileage is 110,000 but will rise slightly as it’s still in current use.

It has some very tasteful subtle modifications including:

-Custom respray in Jaguar black with Bentley blue flake
-18 inch vintage calibre deep dish wheels staggered 9j front 10j rear
-wrap tinted lights and reflectors but rear lights are factory tinted.
-Daimler bonnet emblem
-custom Daimler gear knob
-hidden audio build. Upgraded pioneer speakers, crunch amp and decent subwoofer. Single din head unit hidden in the glovebox.
-wind deflectors all round
-optional extra sunroof deflector fitted
-silver and black pressed registration plates front and rear
-anti theft number plate bolts
-custom wheel dust cover caps
-optional extra wool floor mats

The car has undergone full restoration in 2017, including all rust removal, welding and a custom respray in Jaguar black with stunning Bentley blue flake. The original color is jade green and still mentions this on the logbook.
It has been well looked after and maintained and been in current ownership for a year and a half. It’s been used daily and has been faultless, drives superb as it should with no unwanted noises.
It has never needed for anything and has good mot history. It’s had new tyres recently and tracking done so it drives lovely.

The interior is factory ivory and brown, in great condition. Heated seats and very comfy . No rips or tears to the leather, very clean and minimal wear for the age of the car, 9/10 condition.

The bodywork is straight, and stunning. The paintwork is gorgeous and the chunky blue glitter really sets it off. It looks black and then in bright light you really see the heavy blue glitter. It doesn’t look tacky or cheap at all it’s a very classy tasteful paint job. As you can expect being a 31 year old car that’s used daily there are some minor imperfections such a couple of stone chips here and there and some scratches which is expected but it’s very good condition. All the chrome is fabulous condition and the plastics are intact with no cracks.

As with every car there are some down points which include:

Crack in the front windscreen (aiming to get replaced before sale)
Brake wear sensor light comes on when braking but I think it’s just the sensor it’s not the brakes.
Small bit of lacquer peel on one of the wheel dishes, only very small area hardly noticeable.

It is a very honest car and so reliable it’s been thousands of miles up and down the country faultlessly and never skipping a beat. It’s a very nice example and has been to some shows and always receiving compliments wherever it goes. Another bonus is because of the year of the car it goes on classic insurance so it’s very cheap to insure. It’s been a difficult decision to sell as there were many plans for it but after hard consideration it’s time to let it go. I have over 400 pictures of detailed work including the restoration and paint which can be seen. It’s also been in some music videos and a Netflix film so that’s pretty cool.
