Nearside cv joint grease type.

I have just replaced the gearbox and I am re-assembling the nearside driveshaft which includes the CV joint. As the CV joint is in the wet side of the gearbox will it still require grease? Bumping this as it came up on search when I was looking for something else, but thought its worth a reply for the benefit of anyone searching - NO you won't need grease, the gearbox mounted CV boot uses the gearbox oil for lubrication. You will need to refill and/or replace the gearbox oil to replace the boot though.
