Ad172UK Car 421 Cammed 172 Nov 26, 2008 #2 AFAIK Mate it depends on what colour it's sprayed at the moment. IE if its sprayed Black and you need it silver you're best primering it again. When you're prepping it, if im correct just rub it down enough to break the laquer so that the primer has something to key to.

Ad172UK Car 421 Cammed 172 Nov 26, 2008 #4 Its possible that you may get away with it, but i've always primered to get a better finish. Primer leave for 24 Hours & then 1200 Wet and dry before paint FTW!
