need advice on painting my cup spoiler

Car  E92 M3
the spoiler i bought was the wrong colour so needs painting

but do you only hav 2 sand the top or the glossy layer or is it best to take it right down to the primer

AFAIK Mate it depends on what colour it's sprayed at the moment.

IE if its sprayed Black and you need it silver you're best primering it again.

When you're prepping it, if im correct just rub it down enough to break the laquer so that the primer has something to key to.

Its possible that you may get away with it, but i've always primered to get a better finish.

Primer leave for 24 Hours & then 1200 Wet and dry before paint FTW!

specialist paint shop. and if your doing it with aerosol cans make sure you specifiy 2k lacquer.
