Need help about my coilovers please!!!!

  clio 182 FF
Been to my garage to get my coilovers fitted went to collect the car and the guy turns round and says he couldn't fit them because the holes on the hub are not spaced right for my front struts on the coilovers but when I bought them off the guy he says they are def for a clio 182, if thats the case does that mean im running 172 hubs or something? what can I do to resolve this will I need to change them to 182 cup hubs? If so what else will I need to do?

If you have a 172 with cup suspeion pack then 172 coilovers won't fit, only if you have the none cuped suspension packed cars can you use 172 coilovers (and they still ned to be adjsuted a bit).

I have a 182 FF but I've been told my car is running on 172 hubs because my car is not cupped.

Well the 172 dampers will fit with some camber correct, its due to the way the 182 uses the same hubs as the 182 without cup packs but its wide so the damper needs to sit at an angle as such.

Yus, lots of debate about this, but there isnt any off the shelf suspension that fits your car mate.

You can however fettle the dampers by drilling the holes out at the front, id take it to a decent clio specialist to get this done though.

I've ordered 182 hubs from cit-ren so I guess i will need to try and see if they fit first if not then I will need to do more head scratching boy why does it have to happen to me?:( im not understanding the bit about drilling holes where do you drill the holes on the hub or the front strut? if you do that will that not weaken the points thats meant to hold it together?
