Need some advice

  German Barge

Hi all,

I will probably get flamed, but im in need of advice and help.

I have driven two Clio valvers, which im planning to get as my next car (as i have recently sold my Corsa SRi), but i am not overly impressed with thier performance. I was expecting a lot more considering im coming from a Corsa SRi, but im beginning to drift away from buying one. Im looking for an N Reg 1995-6 Williams blue version, but it seems as if all the decent ones are selling the second they come on the market, and finding one is like trying to find a dinosaur egg!

My mind is now wandering elsewhere along newer cars such as the 106 GTi, and the Lupo GTi. The Valver just didnt feel like it did 0-6 in just under 8 seconds. My corsa does it in 11, and it feels just as fast as the valver.

Any opinions and comments would help me out loads,

I just need so experience, and knowlegde about the above cars, which i feel i personally lack from only seeing two valvers, both of which i have driven.

Cheers, Chris.

well i was taking it up to 50 on the rev counter in 2nd and 3rd, so i mean thats hardly crusing along. I was giving it quite a bit of power, but i was just surprised in the response. I just need to find one with low mileage and much younger, definately 1995 model.

Maximum power comes at 6750rpm in a Valver, so no wonder the ones you tested felt slow (changing up at 5000rpm). Go have a look at my post under the rally pedigree topic - thatll make you want one again!

so what is your honest opinion of the Lupo GTi in comparison to the Valver, im just looking for enjoyment to drive, and speed in one
