NEEDED: Help building custom cage

looking for someone that can point me in the right direction, some of you may have seen the white 106 on last months french gti mag and notices the strengthening plates on the roll cages with the holes in.

I'm after the same thing, if i get a 6 point or 10 point cage can someone just fabricate the plates up and weld them to the pillars? their must be companies that can do this?

yea i kust realised that the front cars are miles away from the front pillars as the cage is built so there is no dash cutting, help fred!

the middle cars match the middle pillars so im guessing that would be real easy just the fronts 2 secs i'll get a pic

see my point? the plates would be huge well i think from the pics they would be, and whats used to punch the holes in the plates as they seem to flow in a little unlike a holesaw would leave

Try someone like west wales rally spares, they do loads of Mk2 Escort stuff.

Even try Rally Design, should have them.

Ring Caged, Custom Cages etc.

You don't have to fit one through the dash. Mark's Safety Devices one comes down right in front of the dash. Only thing you need to cut your glovebox, or leave it shut.

and do you have any pics? as the bars need to be as central to the pillars as possible so someone like fred can use his welding skills to attach some plates

have you got pics? i know theirs a big bar running along through behind the dash, everything out of the back is now out all the roof lining and light console and all wiring from back and roof that isnt used has been removed, i aint being shy

roll cage looks like its in the perfect place, problems would be = steering surround holding indicators and lights - heater piping

gonna have to get my head around this, turning a street car into a road legal race car aint easy! or cheap
