Not being funny, but I certainly wouldnt lend a car to a mate "to pull birds" Id tell him to stick it!!

If he wanted it for a sensible reason, then no worries, but for pulling? feck that!

coco any news on your 7 yet ??

Being collected tomorrow by Westfield to go for its final estimate.

Hopefully, once that is done, it will be rebuilt.

Should have it back for Mid August (current estimate).

bit that gets me is he stuffed a triple plate kevlar race clutch inside 20 miles! how? i mean how did he do it? these things are supposed to be indestuctable. any way, id lend it any of my mates, as posted above, as long as they are insured on it, i trust them, as i know i could borrow theres if i needed a bigger car etc. just a bit unfortunate.

You cant account for a breakdown. My clutch just fell appart in my valver. Wasnt doing anything daft.

If hed have crashed it then thats a different story.

Maybe you should take the clutch back to whoever fitted it and tell them they ballsed it up, see if you can get it free ;)

i know a 182 aint the fastest car out there but NO WAY Id let most of my mates touch it, they drive fecking slow ass 1.2s and would wrap it in minutes.

No offence to 1.2 owners but theres a big difference!

Because people drive 1.2s doesnt mean they would crash a 2.0l!

Thats like saying because you drive a 2.0l with 182bhp youd probably smash up a 300bhp car!

  Valver

I think he means they are used to the power and dont appreciate how quickly they can accelerate to dangerous speeds and lose control of the car...

yeah i did mean this, I mean a 182 will be doing 100 in the time a 1.2 is just past 60 so I really think my mates that are used to 60/70bhp would struggle to keep control of the car, takes a bit of getting used to!

Acceleration can get you into trouble pretty quickly, plus with the torque steer thrown in for good measure and the lack of traction in 1st id have no tyres left and a nice lampost shape in my door no doubt.

Fair enough i dont know your mates! lol

All ill say is at 19 i could drive a 300bhp STi no probs when most would say someone that young couldnt and would crash. It depends on the person i spose though

not talking age, talking what people are used to driving. My mates are 23 / 24 - I have mates 20 / 21 whore more used to power from 1.9 gtis, Celica GT4s etc

I had been driving a mildly tuned valver though. Well i drive the slowest of slow GTis and can handle big power. But yeah it is a bit different

just a quick update, since it was stuffed, ive had i back 4 days, went to southend in it, came home on a transporter, with a blown clutch again. so much for cheap clutch. so im with out transport again. p.s. when i say cheap clutch is the one bb tuning sell, as thats where i bought it, just thought it would last longer than 4 days!, crap....
