New bumper 182 to 172 conversion...

Hey all....

After alot of hardwork and time finally managed to convert a silver 182 bumper with 2 exhaust exits to a black one with none!

All done and painted myself which im pretty proud of!

Have a look and c...o yea and its jus been cleaned too so quite shiny....

Looking good mate, did you just use filler over the holes? How much did you get the bumper for in the end?

Im presuming you already had a 182 bumper or could get hold of one cheap then? (rather than buying a 172 one).

lol at Day....yea i want em but jus cant afford at the mo!

I bid for it on ebay and won it for £30 so yea....pretty cheap!

I had to use fibre glass to cover over the holes and get the shape....then filler over the top of that as u cant really use filler to bridge gaps.

It took a few days to do cause u have to wait for bits to dry etc but was worth it for the money i paid in the end.

my warrenty on my car has gone now as its more than 3 yrs old so not that bothered...plus its a full system so its garunteed by who fit it for life anyway.

nice sound from it too.

want a 172 grill next really..... anyone got one?!?!


oh yea... lowered 30/35 but i think its a bit less than that. did have 60 but didnt like it.
