I'm looking at getting a camcorder. It must be from Jessops due to using vouchers. From reading a few sites I think I want MiniDV over DVD or HDD as it's easier to get the footage back off the camera for editting and HDD can be compressed to much. So unless someone can provide a compelling argument for either, MiniDV it is.
It shall be used for general family occasions, some motorsport bits and home DIY projects.
Based on this does anyone have any recommendations?
I'm thinking of the Sony DCR-HC35.
