New Car...Need Some Advice

Well went round to arnold shark today and asked about a 1.6 and the boy came back to me with a 05 Mk3 1.6 Dynamic with 25K on the clock for £6988, Anyone on here have a new shape Dynamic just wondering what there like compaird to an old Mk2 Ph1 as the cars in stirling not dundee

i've just picked up a 1.6 dynamic S - revvy, not very quick (compared to all previous cars), steering is taking some getting used to (very light/ twitchy) but it's a nice car to be in.
I was surprised how quiet it is to drive - no engine noise unless high revs and outside road noise, etc isn't noticeable
I seem to be averaging 38mpg to work and back (town driving) which i think is great and £70 for 6 months tax is the cheapest i've ever paid

What are your previous cars mate ??? I havent got a clue what the what my 1.2 does to the mpg as it dosnt have a trip comp...You have any problems with it ??

Park Renault FTW! We had this discussion yesterday and decided Arnold Shark were crap!

Get a ph2 anyway, look better than the standard mk3 IMO.

i did it, i found a untouch/mint one for £4800 with 25k miles on the clock. its now on 33k miles..
very soon to sell

i wish i had waited longer for Giles to drop his price, will proberly cost me more than £550 to get those alloys, have it colour coded and to have a face lifted bootlid oh well

It done 85k now. Yeah I thought wouldn't have a problem selling it, cos end of 2007 everyone having problem selling cars in the uk at the time.

er - 3 imprezas, golf turbos, cupra, 2 a4 turbos, etc (43 previous cars) - i get bored easy

Well your impression of fast car is like a million miles away from mine....fastest thing ive been ins a Porsche Turbo and fastest car ive drivins a Sport , either way a 16v 1.6 will be much better than my current 8v 1.2

well i now drive a sprinter van all day at work so the clio feels nice and relaxed to drive on the way home

trying to be sensible with cars now which is why the turbos are in the past, although i did think about the new punto turbo due out this year
