New clio owner looking for advice

  Renault Clio 1.5 DCi
Recently just bought myself a 2008 renault clio 1.5 dci dynamique and I am looking for a site that sells some "tasteful" modifications, also interested in what others might think I should do to the car to make it stand out from a crowd.

Planned mods and additions:
Induction Kit (Advice needed)
Exhaust Backbox (Suggestions needed)
Coilovers/Lowing Springs (Undecided on brand or place to purchase)
Wind Deflectors

Wrapping/Spraying:
Wheels (Pretty banged up when purchased)
Debadging and Wrapping/Spraying Renault Badges
Head lights & Tail lights

I would love to hear from anyone else if you have also applied the same mods/additions to your car and how much you spent on each individual part and the where your sourced your parts from, thanks in advance.

"Tasteful mods" then goes on to include wind deflectors and a backbox??

Neither of those will do a thing for a 1.5DCi Clio.

Actually meant an upgraded exhaust system, my bad xD

The wind deflectors are mainly due to having my window open quite often (smoker) and a friend of mine owns a 2.0 Honda civic type R and I noticed a drastic reduction in wind noise after he bought a set for his car.

You could ask Mace to photoshop some mods onto it...so you can see what things look like. Most of us on here have asked him before...

Team Heko are the go-to brand for wind deflectors, or quit smoking?

I doubt you'll see any improvement with an exhaust on a 1.5, you'd be better spending that money on a remap which will give much better results.
Also you don't need an induction kit either.

I had already planned a remap for the car (it's booked to go in 3 weeks) in terms of wanting an aftermarket exhaust it's mainly for aesthetics to be entirely honest as I am sure you can imagine a 1.5 diesel engine doesn't exactly scream performance, I don't want it to sound like a full blown "chav" mobile but something a little more pleasing to the ear would be nice.

It's a 1.5 diesel mate, it won't ever sound better, just louder. Save your money.

If you're looking at the headlights then Xenons might be an option, use the money you've saved on the exhaust to do that.

Get a nice sound system for it :)

Start with replacing the headunit, then add a 10 or 12" sub with around 500wrms and run a crossover around 75hz. If you cba, replace the front speakers (theyre quite hard to replace as the tweeter is in the dash) and amp these.

Unfortunately being a derv it’ll only ever sound more like a tractor with any exhaust mods.
Trust me, I know. 😂

Team Heko wind deflectors are the ones to get, they won’t do anything for noise reduction btw if anything they make it worse but you can have the windows open a crack with out getting soaked if it’s raining.

Get a K&N air filter job done.
Cosmetic bits are probably the way forward to be fair.

Thanks for all the advice, one thing at a time seems to be the way to go, it was bought as a project anyhow :)

I’d say just buy some lowering springs and leave it at that, maybe look at buying a 172 or 182 then at least you have some performance to play with 👍👍,
