Fair review tbh, except I wouldnt buy a mini because I think the interior is ghastly.

Suprized at there 16.2 to the ton run for the mini too, but I guess with midrange overboost its slightly quicker. I also believe the 175bhp is very conservative

The first right hand drive car has arrived in the UK and we've managed to get our hands on it before anyone else.

There have been MCS RHD for a long time now. Had a sit in the yellow one in August in the Oxford plant. They were in production since August.

Fine report that backs up everybodys problem with the 197 being too slow. The Mini just murders it on acceleration and so would every Sport Clio since the original 172.

Shame really as the chassis appears to be very good.

Shame I don't like Minis much, that Cooper S sounds fun. I still have another year before I'll be looking properly for another car, I hope something comes along to excite me before then. Maybe Renault will spice up the 197 then I might be interested..

The more i read about the new Mini the more i realise the Clio isn't for me. I could handle the Clio not being the best all round car if it had a performance advantage, but outright and in the real world the Mini would kill it.

The new interior in the Mini is a class above the Clio's, and it will also hold it's value much better... so bit of a no brainer.
