new engine, history?

hey guys, i've just fittted a new engine in my focus and i'm looking to sell it, but it came from a scrappy with no history. is their anyway of finding out anything with the VIN? i'm sure i read somewhere that you could get the DVLA to send reprints of MOTs which would confirm the mileage?

I believe you can only do it with the V5 Documentation reference number.
With that you can find out the mileage old MOT'S Ect ect
