Would a silenced one make much of a difference rather than a strait pipe?

as I am getting a little fed up with the full on thunder even at low revs!

Looking at ways to chill it down! Thinking maybe like you single long back box and a silenced decat.

Go for a silenced decat.

I know what you mean about the noise though my first system was very loud which was good fun for a couple of weeks but it soon became annoying.

can i ask what camera u used to make the video of your exhaust? ive tried taking a few vids of my system with a few different cameras and the sound just gots distorted and you cant hear what it sounds like!

lol, at least I didnt get a "sounds like a f**king chavved up 1.0 nova" comment.

The video was done on an old sony cybershot digital camera. It sounds much better in real life, honest. A combination of poor camera/poor PC speakers/revving at a standstill against a wall doesnt help.

Who said anything about it being subtle?

thats loud!!

I take it theres two small rear silencers on that and nothing else?

I can pm you the measurements of the rear silencer on mine if you want?

Reminds me of when i had the supersprint race system on the 172. Car alarms would be set off at the turn of the key, animals would run for cover, small children would cry and women passengers would moan "thats too f**king loud" Oh how i miss that exhaust :dapprove:

I did 360 it once in the rain with a massive lift off oversteer - tottttallly freeked me out lol.
no more driving silly in the pooring rain with the ESP off!

the work done to the car probably contributes to the way it sounds also? doesnt sound that loud, i like it. mine sets off car alarms a lot of the time.
