New exhaust, Happy days :)

Visited Prospeed on Monday to have the trophy fettled with, safe to say I am very impresses with the results. Went for a 2.5 bore all the way through and Charlie modified the outlet on my cat to match the rest of the exhaust to make the airflow spot on.

Charlie has changed the design of the exhaust as he is now manufacturing the whole exhaust on site so he can play around, the rear silencer is now at a 70ish degree angle and sits pretty much perfectly along with the tailpipes in the cutouts of the bumper.

Upon driving the first thing that is different is the distinct burble compared to the Janspeed, town driving and on the motorway the exhaust is quiet enought to talk over without having to raise my voice but when you plant your right foot the sound is awesome and it pulls harder all the way through the rev range.

Overall I am more than pleased with the efforts of Charlie at Prospeed, his patience and attention to detail were second to none and the price made me grin as well

the cat mod helps an awful lot with the airflow, wanted to stay mot legal and cannot be bothered with changing every year, already has a 200 cell cat anyway, cheers for your comments Alan much appreciated

RS badges are good, CLIO badge will take some getting used to. Makes my exhaust look like a piece of cr@p.

Other than that looks not too bad. You noticed any decrease in power with it or does it feel as quick.

It's called packing the mount so the exhaust doesnt bounce around everywhere, otherwise its comical to be behind a clio that doesnt have it doin, boing boing boing, hilarious

Feels quicker TBH, not a placebo affect on my part either, definately feels better in the mid range and under hard acceleration

Yeah, its a Renault item, its a collar for where the pipe leaves the mani heading towards the cat. There are 2 springs (one either side) one of these springs had snapped...so the exhaust was blowing. The kit is circa £16.50 from Renault. The exhaust had a rattle after putting your foot down (kind of like the 4K rattle, but when you take your foot off the accelerator.
