New York, NY – Friday 4,2010 - Rockstar Games, the world renowned publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. ( Nasdaq: TTWO), announced today that Grand Theft Auto®: Going Straight will be released Q4 2010 for the PlayStation®3 , Xbox®360 and Games for Windows® Live. The title will focus on the protagonist Lance Steinberg as he attempts to go straight and to avoid the temptation of crime.
“This title will be taking Grand Theft Auto in a brave new direction” remarked Houser “ You will no longer be able to steal vehicles , instead you will spend your whole time taking your friends out on dates, reporting to your parole officer and delivering post as your role as a US postal service employee”
This title will maintain the high production values delivered by previous Grand Theft Auto titles ‘ Make no mistake, this will be a $100 million game. “ said Houser; “ I will get my 9 year old son to write it; and I will charge “$80 million for the privilege” The remaining $20 million will go on bribing reviewers and fan sites
To ensure high standards across the three platforms, two separate studios will handle the development process. Rockstar North will handle the Xbox®360 version and PC version while The American Cataracts Society will handle the PlayStation®3 version. It is widely expected that the PC version will require the Large Hadron Collider or greater to run.
