New Head unit, front components +amp, idea please!

Hey guys, as the title says really, i'm on a budget of £250 and have not changed a head unit for about 4 years, so i'm really out of the loop with regards to whats's great these days.

In the headunit im looking for something with ipod/mp3 capability and a removable fascia.

Amping the front components but i'm not fitting a sub.

My old preferneces have always been with alpine but i'm open to trying something new.

i'd say, pioneer, alpine or kenwood?

stick with alpine for a head unit imho

comps and amp there is a whole lot more choice for that

i have pioneer head unit which was 110 pounds, two front hertz speakers which were 89 a pair, and two JBL speakers in the back 42 a pair and the JBLs are brilliant prefer them to the hertz one. the head unit is mp3, usb on the front and removable fascia

Swap the components for the spl dynamics ones. Heard some iffy reviews for those pioneers.

but the Pioneers are the easiest bits of kit to fit, from what I see being writen on here.

search the forum, you'll find them discussed a lot. The JBL's would maybe give a bit more oomph though.
