Mines all up and running, need to get the old one on ebay now, may sell my touch as well.
Not able to get any 3G though, just Edge, not sure now if I need a newer sim card or if there is no 3G coverage here.
Loving Remote though, very nice simple touch, not missing anything over the jailbroken phone it has replaced bar no MMS now - hopefully someone will sell an app soon.
The new one does not feel quite as tactile or nice to hold as the old one
Hoping the plastic back will give more stable reception even though it looks and feels poo in comparison.

Mine worked as soon as I disconnected it from itunes in the end as I was using an existing sim, just took ages before I could sync it.

It's a bit thicker in the middle.. Curved back. I actually like it - sits nice in hand.
Yeah no dock is annoying.. don't think I'll buy one either.
Whacking brightness right up the 3G seems brighter, but as you said.. has a slight yellow tint. Guess it's just the same as my touch having the slight "negative black" display and first batch of units.

Me too. It looked like it was doing a UK tour! I was not amused.
I thought it was going to take ages to activate and that it wouldn't be working for ages, but within a couple of minutes of turning it on it was making and receiving calls.
