new janspeed exhaust rattling??

I put on a janspeed exhaust last week and its rattling like hell on takeoff , especially when cold, when driving its fine though. I havent had time to get under and have a butchers yet but what do you guys think it is. maybe heat shield ??:S

more revs when pulling away might help. could be juddering under low revs. other than that, yeah probably the heatshield.

Good old reno build Ql, as the saying go's, if it stops making the noise it hasn't fixed it self... more than likely fallen off lol

You say that but my mates dads DB9 kept falling off.

did you fit new exhaust mounts? i bought some new ones and couldnt believe how stiff they were to the ones on the car.


Rear bracket 7700424339 £17.35 plus vat x2
Centre mount 7700424341 £6.50 plus vat x1

two rear mounts for clio 182 one for 172

I would be far from impressed with that :nono: , on a car that costs thousands purely for the fact you are paying for the decent build...

i have the janspeed system on my 182 and after fitting i noticed there was a rattle and after takin a look the heat shield was lyin on the back box. maybe its the same thing mate

yea they rot around the rivits then slightist movement in that area they fall on the back boxes

yeah sounds right , the heatshield i think, will get under and look after work ,cheers guys
