New Tweeter Problem

Hi, I ordered and fitted these today http://caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-in-phase-xtc5_p-19737.htm, however the tweeter which came with it doesn't seem to be working, the actual speakers do though. I have left the original tweeters in the dash connected so I wondered if this is why my new tweeters weren't working.

Any advice on what could be causing this is welcome

Also, having these new speakers has made me realise how crap the original tweeters are, so what would be the best method of disabling them? Unplugging them by removing the top of the dash or to cut the wire leading to it (if you can do this without taking top of dash off).

how have you got them connected?

The wiring for the standard speakers is now the input into the crossover, then the speakers and tweeter is connected to that. I just left the standard tweeters alone. New tweeters are in the door cards near the speakers.

yeah i would disconnect the tweeters in the dash

if they are not working i'd guess in phase stikes again
