New tyre fitted.Wheel scratched!!

A few weeks back I ordered an Exalto for my 182 Cup from Event Tyres.

£85.00 included the tyre and a mobile fitting service. Good price I thought.

Although the chap was pleasant and wasn't on tight schedule a chip/scratch was inflicted upon the wheel.

To cover himself he said the wheel had already endured a scratch or two before removing it. Rather heavy handed he was as well while removing and fitting the tyre.

Not pleased.

Anybody else experience this from a mobile outfit?

Hmm i wouldn't trust a mobile fitter myself...

What if something goes tits up, its not as if you can go back to them the way you can with the likes of kwik fit or national tyres.

Ive used Event Tyres twice now and the service is great. Im up north though

I used a mobile outfit on my old 1.2, he managed to damage both alloys so I swore never to use a mobile guy again!

Did get some ££'s back in compensation though but that's not the point!

i really hate getting tyres fitted, id prefer an MOT to having new tyres put on
