Not as bad as you think. full boost by 4k and perfectly driveable, great fun 30mph onwards.

As for the OEM, I agree, but I was looking for a sorted shell/body so had to compromise somewhere. I will get it back to how it should be in 6 months.

Ah not too bad. My SR20 would only get full boost at 3k so doing well for a 1.4!

As for the OEM after reading many of your projects I have no doubt this will end up lovely!

so wheels silver and red original decals on the cards then? will look perfect then IMO. and wing mirrors white too. oh and amber indicators. i always wanted one of these back in the day, back in around 1992 i used to drive past a boy who had a mint tungsten grey one and i wanted it soooo bad!! one day ill get one as a toy.

What i'd do is make it look like @Rich-D 's old one but with silver turbines.

Far from it, lots of work under the skin (brakes, coilovers, turbo, etc) but kept it looking fairly stock externally.

Front indicators sorted and fitted, having the car raised slightly as it's to low for fast B road driving.

will have the boost raised and fueling checked at the same time.

tbh te interior is the most important bit for me to sort at the min, I hate it. However parts for these cars come up randomly so what Evers comes 1st I will buy.

I was indeed,i attended quite a few meets and National Days over the years. Had plenty of good times and made a lot of long term friends. Were you on RTOC as well?

yeah, wasn't very active though, but did go to Nat at the pod, same year as Mike brewer was there filming Mike @ MSM, I also broke down half up the track which was fun.
Not long after that, it all kicked off with mike and his suspect carb tuning and a photo of him in naked lol.

car was dirty!!!

just got myself some mint phase 2 seats and rear bench, they where removed 10 years ago from a 30k car! Result. Just need to collect my red carpet next week plus door cards! Well chuffed.

ktec fast road engine build, piper 285 cams, T28 turbo, front mount intercooler, with all associated works like clutch etc. just need to fit a fuel reg and carb has already been setup, than up theboost whilst monitoring AFRs.

The is a company called Eurospec in Guildford with a good DD rr which I will use.

Sounds a good spec. 285 is a great all rounder.

Yeah AFRs are absolutely crucial with these cars. Get it right and you'll have a fast and reliable car, get it wrong and things quickly go pear shaped.

Ok sounds good just a heads up if you have never played around with the carb before they can be tricky to set up properly and require lots of trial and error.

As long as you take some jets with you and micro drill bits you should be fine. Low to mid 12s afr is good however the carb can be a bit crude at times.
