just got a 1.2 16v wonder if anyone could tell me what bhp they are?

yeah defo 75bhp but if u put an induction kit in it goes to a whopping 80bhp alot of go for a 1.2

no increases throttle response and purrer air feen also its cold air an engine performs way better when the air is cold rev rev head

remember it needs to be a inclosed filter on just a induction kit in place of the air box,otherwise u will just suck in hot air and lose power

You'll gain no power from ANY ik on a 1.2 engine, infact you won't gain anything bar noise on pretty much all of the clio engines.

I'm not going to argue but its all in your head because of the noise. If you dyno'd it before and after fitted i'd put money on there being hardly any difference.

And how have you gained top end when the gearing hasn't changed.

Its a well accepted fact that bolt-ons make very little difference.

by cld air feed what do u mean mate? as if its an open induction kit in ur engine bay with a pipe leading up to it to get cold air it wont work,hence the need for an enclosed ik

it will because its directing cold air directly to it its only really for twn driving as motorway driving gets cold air all the time but induction kits have been proved to increase power and i aint arguing

In fact I think I have actually lost power...

HOWEVER and this is a big however...when people say they want more power they say it because they want better acceleration and a more responsive engine. And the noise gained by an IK gives you this sensation. So based on that I certainly recommend purchasing one.

certainly not meaning to get at ya fella,its just if u imagine ur bonnet closed there is such a high temp under it that a pipe leading to an open induction kit wont work coz the ik will just be sucking in all the hot air from around the engine,the cooler air coming from that pipe wont compete with under bonnet temps

I think the point at hand is that all it really does is sound good I didn't think it make little or any difference unless you have properly kevved up your engine?

And it is the sound that makes it feel quicker which is the most important thing IMO.
