Newbie - 172 owner

Hi all Yesterday I traded in my c2 vtr for a secondhand 172 which I collect next week. Test drive was brillaint and the car felt slightly quicker than the previous quickest car I've owned, a Saxo VTS.

The sticker on the bonnet will be removed for me collecting the car

Mate it'll piss all over a saxo vts - Welcome to CS

If a saxo doesnt start falling apart you'll do 60 a second quicker and have 10 extra mph.

The saxo was sold a year ago and I'm 100% sure the 172 is far quicker than the c2 it replaces

Theres not a huge lot in it betwen a VTS and a 172 in all honestly.
You did have to rev them though.

ditto, they are faster than a saxo vts but not by a great deal

Love saxo VTS', hated the C2 VTR my mate had, he's jus changed to a 182....the VTR actually drank more petrol that the 182 does!

Hi all

Garf I'm from Glasgow.

The c2 is not good with petrol at all, my saxo vts was far better and that even included when it was getting revved hard. The vts was very nice after 4.5k revs whereas the 172 seems to have plenty of low down power available which then turns insane come 5k revs

good choice! i wanted a monaco blue 172....but couldnt seem to find a decent one locally to me. ended up gettin a 182!

i had to wait a week for mine....went so slowly!

Hopefully I'll be able to collect it on Saturday afternoon. I have a private plate which I plan on retaining, the garage have said I can complete the paperwork on saturday for the plate retention and they will take care of that after we've exchanged cars. Can't wait

The c2 has still to get the stereo and Roadpilot MicroGO removed from it tomorrow morning. I think I'll sell the MicroGO and return to a Origin B2 instead (for the 3rd time)
