  Clio 182, EvoX FQ360
Hello all,

I signed up a few weeks ago as I'm on the lookout for a nice 172 or 182. I've been close to buying a few now but they've both been snapped up before I've managed to view them.

I've not got a massive budget but hopefully enough money to have some fun.

If you spot an honest car up to around £1.5k please let me know. :)

I've bought one! I've bought a 182 FF with cup packs on Friday so will now be fully joining the fold. Next job is to become a fully paid up member on here!

I think I'll be needing all of your help over the coming months

Thanks Johnny. I think there will be a fair few to be honest.
First up will probably be addressing the brakes with discs and pads. After that will be looking at suspension and making the switch to coilovers.
I'll have a good look though on here to look at the recommended manufacturers to go for. :)

Spot on, thank you kindly. I'll see if I can find him.

Where abouts in the North West are you based Johnny? I guess there will be a fair few members from around the region?

Hi Knuckles,
Thanks for the George link - I'll have a look at his threads.

I'm from Crewe, so not far away from you at all. I actually work in Chester so work even closer! Are there a few cars around us?

It's bad timing on my part for missing the festival though, I'm a bit gutted about that. Oh well, there's always next time!

Ah, where in Chester? I'll keep an eye out for you.

Yeah there's plenty of members in the northwest. It used to be a properly booming region but it's quietened down of late. Welsh drives always go down well though.

Yeah, bit of a shame but there's always next year :D

There certainly will be. I did my first sprint at Blyton too so it would have been nice to visit again.
I work at Handbridge so you may see me around there every now and again. :)

I'm the RO on the MLR for North Wales so know that people love the roads over there. When the traffics not too bad you can have a decent run over most of North Wales. We are spoilt really in our local area!

Welcome into the fold. Pics of said car

I'll try and post some up next weekend. I'll try and have a little tidy up first and then get cracking with the camera :)

Ah very nice! I was just at handbridge this evening.

I know! It's brilliant. I'm only 30/40 mins from the ponderosa cafe so it's ace for a bit of an evening blast.

I want to do another Welsh lap soon. All along the coast, past snowdonia, along the a5 via the evo triangle then up to the ponderosa to finish.

Spot on, we do a fair few meets at the Ponderosa Cafe - it's always so cold up there though! :tongueclosed:
I'll keep an eye out for threads with you heading over there. I'll have to come along for a nosey.

  dan's cast offs.

see...i always say that, it's only ever warm up there three days a year, the food is crap, full of fat people, old people, traffic plod and the bogs stink!!!

  Clio 182, EvoX FQ360
, it sounds like you enjoy it there! haha

I don't mind any of the others (well, the traffic police are not ideal but I've not seen them up there all too often to be honest). That wind always cuts through though and I always get suckered into wearing shorts!

 - he does have a bit of a point about the elderly up there as well though!
I bet they do a good trade in that gift shop!

Thank you for the warm welcome guys, it's good to know there are so many helpful members on here.

I don't really know anything mechanically to be honest so it's going to be one hell of a learning curve! The main aim is to tidy the car up a bit and then have some track fun. I've modded cars for years now so hopefully I can keep you all interested with bits and pieces as to what's happened. :)

I'll certainly be in touch over the coming weeks @George@RTR_Parts . I'm not 100% sure what I'll need until I've had a look at the weekend, but I'm tempted to get disks and pads all around with some braided lines if possible. I'll have to get saving after paying for the car! :)

Thanks again all. :D

Here's a few pictures as well from the weekend. It's got the common dent in the bonnet as well as a few others, but I'm looking forward to tidying everything up to be honest.

@pastymaster Hello mate, recognise the name from when I was on mlr, better off in here :tongueclosed::up: Enjoy the clio!

Spot on Mark, sorry for the slow reply but it's been a majorly hectic week at work! It's good to see some Evo's as your avatar! Are you still active over on the MLR? It seems a lot busier here!!

Nice collection you got there mate! Love the arctic blue

f**king hell what a driveway that is! Loving it:up:

Thanks guys :)

What's the new civic like?

It's a very nice car to be honest. Some of the finishing touches aren't the best such as the Honda cost saving on the inside of the wheels, but overall it's an impressive bit of kit. I've not really driven it a lot (it's the girlfriends car) but power delivery seems nice and smooth and the handling is pretty good. It's certainly quick enough although I wish it had the AWD system instead of front.

She couldn't decide between this or the new Mk3 RS, but went for this based on looks. The logic being the RS was a better 'package' but what's the point if you don't like the look of it. Fair enough I suppose. :)

No mate, not posted on MLR for 18 months, that usual nasty clique ruined it for me, and I don't mean Aidy lol, I was on there from 08 with 10k posts and hate the place now. I still have the X and V, although the X turbo needs rebuilt again to get rid of the smoke screen, FP Red  I still enjoy them though but love my Clio :)
