Newbie from Integra Type R to Clio 172

  Clio 182 FF
Newbie here on the Clio scene i have just sold my integra and bought a 2002 clio 172 in black with 64k on the clock. So far so good alot more fun than my integra. I have joined here to look for some tips on good tyres and brake upgrade so if you have any recommendations let me know :)

Thanks guys

Jackjack - The integras a great car but i found it hard to live with day to day, climbing in and out of the recaros, loud exhaust and no sound deadening it all gets abit much, that and the fact i've had 7 other hondas and i fancied a change! So... i sold it to buy something abit more refined and 2weeks without a car was killing me and this little clio came up and just had to buy it :approve: It might not be as fast, have as much grip or stop as well but its DEFINATELY more fun!

Love it, allways fancied one but they are still a lot of money, great cars mind. Much difference in performance?

They are definately and iconic car mate, i always had compliments on it but like you said still going for good money. Mine had done 120k i sold it and bought the clio and still had 3grand in my pocket!! The lsd on the integra is great and truely missed on the clio, it also makes power up to 9k where the clio drops off about 7k yet the clio has more torque which kind of makes up for it, both great cars in there own way but the integra is abit more serious/track focused.

Pads off btm and discs off g172 off here mate, that's what I've got and well worth the money. Seems like you did well with cash in your pocket and a decent car. Get some pics up :)

If you got a 1*2 to hit 9k (unmodded before the pedants step in) you'd be picking the scattered con rods, pistons and valves up off the road shortly after.

Pay the 12 pound to be a member, well worth it with what yoy get back. People have helped me loads of times. Think the pads are about 125 and the discs 45.

Signed up to full membership before and bought a set of sportrac 3 tyres and mintex m1144 pads. I was going to buy the brembo discs but after searching around they dont seem to be an upgrade and the car had new discs and pads all round only last month. I'll see how i get on with the pads and may well add some HEL brake lines and ATE racing blue.
