Newbie here with a 182, almost...



  LEXUS LS400
Hi all,

I will soon be the proud owner of a 182FF following 10 or so years of Japanese cars.
Not a good start to French car ownership - it's broken and I haven't even picked it up yet !! :S

Was supposed to be getting it tomorrow, but I had a call from the dealer this morning to say that it had failed the emissions on the MOT and they can't get the part to sort it until next Wednesday (damn bank holidays). So hopefully collecting it next Thursday.

I think it belonged to a member on here as it's got a Cliosport sticker in the rear window. It's also got both cup packs (I think) and has been de-wipered (need to rectify that!). Think it's got a Milltek 'zorst too.

Anyone recognise it ?

I've already paid for membership, so hopefully going to be sticking around for a while...

Welcome :)

If its got a miltek it might have been de-catted as well. If it has, it'd be worth getting your hands on it before the dealer bins it.

I don't know... dealer just said that it had failed and they had to wait for parts from Renault. Could only be the lamda sensor(s) or the cat... either way, saves me forking out for them for a while.
The O2 sensor light wasn't on when I test-drove it, so don't really know.

Got 6 months comprehensive warranty and a tank of fuel chucked in as a 'sorry' so not too worried TBH...

Hmmm... I don't think it did - I did have a squizz underneath before I signed on the dotted. It wasn't that loud, either...

Ideal, not too bad then! At least he's doing it properly rather than sticking the probe up another exhaust lol!!

Hi Marky_...

I've had a Mazda 323F, Nissan 200SX (with 330BHP), Toyota MR2 MkII, Mitsubishi Shogun V6... my wife has a mk2.5 MX5, bought a couple of weeks ago.

Only previous French car I've had was a 205 GTi (1.9) about 10 years ago, which was brilliant fun.

Found out what the Fluorescent failed on... it wasn't emissions, it was the front exhaust mount and a number plate bulb... don't know what the sales monkey was on about emissions for.

Good news, will pick it up on Thursday :)
