Newbie - Looking at joining the gang

Afternoon,

My name is Chris and at some point in the foreseeable future, I am looking at procuring either a 172 Cup or 182 in Liquid Yellow.

Just getting my ducks in order, doing some investigating, getting to know what was fitted, what is optional and the rough costs to grab one in good condition.

A clean LY will be around £8000- £12000 depending on condition and mileage.

A 172 CUP will be around £4000- £7000 for a clean unmolested example.

Interestingly, it seems a Liquid Yellow is almost as expensive as a Trophy… 🤔

Interestingly, it seems a Liquid Yellow is almost as expensive as a Trophy… 🤔

Probably because it was the best colour they produced and an expensive option so numbers were limited!

Welcome to the club! Be careful of cars being repainted in liquid yellow, there were at least a couple of them. oh and have a look at petrol blue, such a divisive and rare colour!
