Newbie looking for advice

Hi all,
I am currently looking into upgrading my 1.2 clio for a 2l renault sport.
I have looked into the service intervals, what to look for on test drives, looked at other forums (renaultsport.co.uk) and done my research into some of the dealers themselves.
Is there anything else I should be looking into when buying a second hand renault sport?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  A special one.
Cambelt change and good service history, but you would know about that.

Clutch will feel heavy thou they all are ! service history as MUCH as possible !! and belts and dephaser changed on time . For every decent one there are 30 shitters !!

Indeed. If the cambelt, aux belt and dephaser havent been changed, and changed at Renault/Renault specialist - you can add another £5/600 on as it will need doing.

Make sure you do the usual things like HPI check and see if it has the little balck inserts in the front bumper. If it hasnt, its been repainted (either legit re-spray or has had a front end bump).

Buy on condition, and serive history above milage. These things seem to get beter with age as alot of members will state.

Oh, and dont take the buyers word for the cambelt/dephaser - if no reciept - dont beleive them!

If you post a car up you are looking at, we can advice further :)
