Newbie, swirls

Well im a sort of a novice to detailing.

Ive actually just read the brilliant cleaning guide on here, and found out that you polish then wax (I actually thought they were practically the same thing).

Basically I have an 03 black clio, its got quite a few swirls in places (not bad as I look after my car well), basically im going to buy a clay, polish and wax and try and give my car some TLC.

So basically im asking for some reccomendations for a clay bar (detailing spray if I need it), a good polish to help remove swirl marks, and a good wax. (also a good applicator foam pad)

The products will be applied by hand not machine.

Thanks in advance.

p.s. I also have a cliosport membership so if I can source it from the sites where we can get discount even better.

Working by hand to remove the swirls you will have you work cut out on Black IMO. Maybe better looking into someone local to machine polish the car so you can then maintain it.

If you are feeling strong and want the challenge look into.

Clay - Sonus Ultra Fine Detailing Clay and use a car soap and water mix as lube.

Swirl Removal - Car-Lack 68 - Hand polish kit

Polish - Autoglym Super Resin

Seal - Werkstat Acrylic Jett Trigger

Wax depends on your budget.

Under 20 Quid

Victoria Wax - 3oz Concours Wax

Over 20 quid my fave wax ever

It is akin to EGP but in a spray form, so wipe on and wipe off like a quick detail spray. Also is layerable straight away so no waiting between layers.

Awesome mate, you truly are a detailing GOD. Think im gonna go home after work and get some of this stuff ordered! :)
