Nice car, lovely colour 
To make it look better get clear side repeaters, and silvervision indicator bulbs all round, this will get rid of the tango'd/fried egg look and is nice and cheap! A cup splitter would be a nice addition to the front bumper as would a cup spoiler to the rear of the car.
For looks and performance lower it. If on a budget do it on apex -40mm springs. Around £90 and easy to fit yourself. Improve the superbly and improve handling too. For the ultimate though go for coilovers. This will allow you to adjust the ride height to how you want it and get awesome handling. These are much more costly though £500 for a decent set up.
Engine performance, matched inlet is around £150 I think and gives a few BHP, especially combined with a full stainless exhaust (which will be a necessity sooner or later!) and a remap.
