NickJR RB Clio 182 - Track/fun toy

Hi everyone thought I would post up a little progress thread, I haven't done a thread/blog for years now!

In the past I have been big on the french cars owning two S1 rallyes, vts's, 205 CTi and a few others.

I got this 182 in march this year, from a friend. It was tidy with all the mods needed to track it straight away, and I bagged it for a good price.

I have done 8 track days this year and absolutely love the clio's, pure fun and surprisingly fantastic on track!

Full current spec is;
cooksport springs
solid engine mounts
filter/exhaust
EFI map 188BHP 168FTLB
braided lines/CL5 pads/HC discs
AD08R tyres (fantastic!)
rota spec R wheels
OMP racing GP wheel and boss
Corbeau pro series seat and OMP subframe

Stuff I've got to go on (currently)
rear beam bushes
polybush lower arm bushings
new CUP front shocks
ARB polybush's
and I'm waiting to buy a PMS shifter.

Hi everyone,
Merry christmas!
So, over the christmas period I have just been tinkering here and there with the clio,
I have just fitted Powerflex lower arm bushings (black series) and purple power flex ARB bushes.
oh and new steering rack bushes!
A bit of a nightmare job dropping the subframe to be honest, its the steering rack thats just horrible.
anyway here is a bit of a vlog update if you are interested!

its not been bad considering its on nearly 110,000 miles and done 8 track days this year lol

Ive been at it again today fitting brand new cup shocks and OE top mounts, hopefully it will make a huge difference along with the other mods I have done recently. I did debate get coil overs but for all round use I decided to stick with the cup/cooksport set up. beam bushes next phew!

Cheers mate! I just do stuff occasionally while I'm working on it or at a track day. Steff with the yellow turbo has actually got a youtube channel now too! type in steffrallye clio in youtube and you can see some videos of him rebuilding the engine he blew up lol

Haha, who built it origionally? I had an arctic turbo one running 285hp, mapped by efi parts too, clioturbo built it and it blew up twice in my 3 years of turbo ownership, i had it two years previous to the turbo build and it never had a problem, i sold it the other month and bought a standard rb 182, never looked back.

Last of the new parts fitted before I get the alignment done! the alignment is getting done by a company called TUNED UK based in chester, they specialise in suspension set ups and like to get everything bang on! anyway heres the little video, hope you enjoy!!

The TRE's can be a right bugger to get off if they haven't been touched in ages like yours. I ended up just taking and angle grinder to mine and replace the rods and ends.

Not personally but a friend had his clio set up there and said its the only place he has ever been where they have got it bang on first time, the guy really takes his time and is keen on a perfectly straight steering wheel!

I think he said £35 for normal tracking, (toe) and an extra £12 for adjusting the camber with my camber bolts. Id guess more if you need the rear set up
