Night London/Essex Locations

Looking for some photography locations in Essex and SE London for the Evening/Night.

Obvious places that are well lit or good lighting please.

I've seen quite a few night shots with Canary Wharf in the background but haven't been able to find that particular spot yet.

I saw mini doing promo shots down a cobbled street near smithfields (Liverpool Street) was daytime though.

Yeah Canary Whatf keeps coming to mind to & around isle of dogs area.Just hard to find a spot thats not locked away etc

I park on the Isle of Dogs and most of the gates I see too are locked during the day unfortunately

Yeah thats what we found the other night just driving about local places,even abandoned run down old buildings etc are the same.

Possibly on some.of them but more than likely not. Haven't used Flickr 'properly' in a long time .. just use it to host pics these days.

If you want shots with Canary Wharf in the background go south of the river to Rotherhithe. Try Helsinki Square.

My worry with London is, can we stop for pics without being charged, moved on, fined, etc.

I would imagine those locations in Rotherhithe will be fine as long as people don't take the piss by being noisy or there being loads of cars there at one time etc.
