Not to keen on the number plate and the CAF doesn't look quite right. angled up to much IMO

No you need the flash off like John says, and no your exposure settings for your camera to get the best results.

Tripod is a must.

aye? why do all the professionals use flash then at night time? :S

They dont, not for static shots

Falsh only works for a few metres ahead, a longer exposure is what you need to allow more light to hit the lense

Point and shoot camera, tripod, and either 1.5 or 2 second exposure with a 2 second self timer so I wasnt touching the camera at all during exposure, no flash.
