Nintendo DS Lite

Car  SLK 350
Well the Mrs got me one for my birthday, and im now wondering who has one, and what games come recommended?

Any tools for them? Any hacks? Music players? Battery life?

So suggestions welcome, looks pretty sweet though ;)

they are quality mate!!

I thoroughly recommend getting Brain Training

I have that, Sonic Rush(quality) and New Super Mario Bros!

Enjoy ur fun!! :rasp:

oh come on, sonic rush is diabolical!

Games I recommend:

New super mario bros
Animal crossing
Tetris DS
Mariokart
Wario wario touch games
brain training
brain age

and dont forget the DS will play all GBA games!

If you are considering a game to buy, let me now because there are some real stinkers on the DS (cars being one of them)

Oh noes....

I've just brought Sonic Rush, SMB and Mario Kart. I'm quite intrigued by this Trauma surgery game thing too. Was very tempted by Mario 64 DS too but i put it back, as i'd just bought 2 pairs of jeans :(

Trauma is good, but I got bored with it after a few hours. Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney is good.

I enjoyed Project Rub too. Played that to the end.

Whats this passkey and memory card stuff needed for? I'm not very clued up on the DS scene tbh.

Is there a browser available for it?
What memory can it take?

I've got Mario Kart, Project Rub, Animal Crossing and Nintendogs, they're all ace :)

Get it online and you can play with other people, there was a thread somewhere with friend codes of people on here :)

Zoo Keeper - the greatest game ever? Played this more than any other game ever, soooooooo addictive.

The rest as above really, Mario Kart, Mario Bros, Brain Training, Tetris.

And the best GBA game I've bought for it: Racing Gears Advance.

I was in Tesco at midnight pondering on whether to get one, and I want one ,but worry they are for kids, and that I'll get bored :S

The DS lite is slightly smaller, but it's the screen that counts. It's a lot better then the one on the normal DS. The colours are so much brighter and richer.

DS Lite is 2/3 the size of the original, it's a lot lighter, the screen is 30% brighter and it rocks ;)

I'm having loads of fun on Super Mario, it's a cracking game!

I've come to the conclusion that Sonic does indeed suck, its use of 2 screens is just confusing, and makes me feel dizzy :(

My advice is, buy a DS Lite. Opera browser for it soon, so wireless i-net access and a host of other goodies.

Is anybody bored of their DS yet?

Nope, I don't use it all the time but it's always around when I fancy a quick blast.

Mario Kart or Tetris online can never get boring.

Lee how do you play MK online? Is there an easy way to browse game servers? Im not sure how it all works.

You just chose where you want to look for races, Friends list, global etc and you just get teamed up with racers of similar skill. It's so simple it's scary.

I've not played it online for a while.

I had the wireless dongle before I got a wireless router. Very easy to use.

Can't think of anything to get for my 21st tomorrow, so may just go for it :)

Do it,

I can certainly recommend Super Mario, and Mario Kart. I wouldn't recommend King Kong or Sonic though.

I can't wait until Zelda comes out, i love the Zelda!

Mmmm Zelda. I can't wait. I'm going to be so sad that I'll be getting Twilight princess on both Cube and Wii. Ocarina of Time is my fave game ever though.

DS Zelda looks amazing.

There's only one thing missing in Mario Kart and that's coins. Other than that it's gaming perfection.

I went to get one at lunch. Gamestation had the best deal, £109 for a lite with ANY game.

They were sold out though, and nobody else would match that! :(

Woooo I got my DS in the end...

Toys'R'us did it for £130 with New Mario Bros and Mario Kart!

Updated my router firmware and am online - excellent stuff :D

Bought one this morning - Love it. I got Dr Kawashima's brain Training and New Super Mario Bros. Superb, anyone know if the DS lite talks to Macs???

any one got a recomendation for a good wirelss router or dongle thingy??? which is best to use???

Messenger on the Nintendo DS
Just like you can connect to Messenger using a Sony PSP, there's a way to chat with your buddies on a Nintendo DS as well. It requires a pretty amazing piece of homebrew, called Beup, of which version 0.3 was released this week by kevinc. I mean, it allows avatars and emoticons, a custom log-in status, shows if user is typing, hell, it even supports sending and receiving Ink messages! Doesn't that just transform the Nintendo DS into a perfectly portable Instant Messaging device to use around the house.

hmmm... I'll have to look into homebrew downloads - that's through the GBA slot, yeh??

Can I browse the web without buying opera, too?
